Blue Mountain Pheasants Forever Recognizes 2025’s Outstanding Volunteers

Each year, Blue Mountain Pheasants Forever (BMPF) recognizes a few of our outstanding volunteers at the annual banquet. Awards presented include the Polaris Habitat Stewardship award, Volunteer of the Year, and, new for 2026, a Youth Volunteer of the Year award.

The Polaris Habitat Stewardship Award is presented nationwide across all Chapters, with a plaque sponsored by Polaris. This year’s BMPF recipient was Mr. Brad Triebwasser, our Habitat Committee Chair. Brad put in the hours, sweat, and mileage to make a lot of things happen in 2025. We can’t thank him enough for his contributions to the Chapter.

The Chapter Volunteer of the Year is awarded an individual who covers a lot of bases. This individual volunteers for a variety of programs and events, helps with the annual banquet, and encourages teammates. This year’s Volunteer of the Year recipient was Ms. Jamie Wallace, the WotW Committee Chair. Jamie serves BMPF across habitat, WotW, and the banquet. She also serves the Columbia Basin Chapter, and donated significant time to help a WotW Committee member in need. She’s enthusiastic, driven, and lives for the PF missions.

The Youth Volunteer of the Year was established this year to recognize and thank the younger generations who give back through Pheasants Forever. Recruiting volunteers is challenging, given our busy lives, and finding youth participants who see the value in volunteering is uncommon and essential to the future of Pheasants Forever. This year’s recipient was Mr. Ryder Los. He received a custom cedar plaque and a youth outdoor gear package, including an upland hunting vest, backpack, binoculars, and more for his efforts.

“Ryder is a sixth grader with a schedule that would challenge many adults, yet he exemplifies dedication, leadership, and service daily.” Said Penny Los, Ryder’s mom.

On top of school, sports, 4-H and livestock, family, and community events, Ryder finds time to care about habitat and the Pheasants Forever missions. We’re looking forward to seeing his smiling face at future BMPF events.
