Women on the Wing

What is Women on the Wing?

The great thing about this initiative is the empowerment  of and friendships built with the women who get involved! Formally, our local mission is “To create opportunities and access for women who share a passion of the uplands, and inspire conservation through community, connection, and education.” Our hope is that women will come out for a great day in a beautiful setting, enjoy the surroundings, learn about upland bird habitat and conservation, have fun, make new friends, and more!

Gear Swap

“Gear Swap” is a program designed to help empower women who want to enter the uplands but may
need a little help with gear. New or slightly used items are donated by other women for those who need
them, free of charge. This program is designed to have items recycled, repurposed, and re-loved by the
next owner. All women are encouraged to participate by either donating or taking an item they may
need. If you would like more information on what is currently in inventory, or have an item to donate,
please contact WotW Steering Committee Member Jamie Wallace by email at
