May 16th 2026 – Instructional Youth Clay Shoot at the Walla Walla Gun Club
This event opens with firearms handling and cleaning demonstrations, followed by range and general firearms safety (one hour). Shooters will be split into experienced and first-time shooters that will go to the 5 stand range or trap house for instruction on shooting skills.
The event will be held at the Walla Walla Gun Club beginning at 8:00am. Look for an email announcing each hunt containing information to RSVP as the event approaches.
June 6th, July 11th, and August 15th 2026 – Youth Summer Trap Shoot Series
June 6th – Regular season shoot. Will start off with a range safety talk.
July 11th – Regular season shoot.
August 15th – The last regular season shoot with the “Family Challenge” shoot immediately following. The Family Challenge involves parent/mentor and youth teams shooting together in a friendly competition among participating families with prizes awarded.
Prizes will be given for the best 2 consecutive rounds of the regular season, high round, and most improved experienced shooter and most improved new shooter with multiple age categories.
A Grand Prize will be given at the August 16th shoot for the most clays broken over the three events.
BMPF will sponsor 2 rounds per shooter, per month. Ear and eye protection, youth shotguns and ammunition will be available.
Events will be held at the Walla Walla Gun Club. Registration begins at 8:00am with the shoot beginning at 9:00am. Look for an email announcing each hunt containing information to RSVP as the event approaches.
Youth Hunt
2026 Youth Hunt – BMPF sponsors the birds for youth hunters, adults are welcome to buy birds and hunt afterward.
October 3rd 2026 at the Clyde Shooting Preserve

Family Hunt
2026 Family Hunt – BMPF sponsors an annual Family Hunt for youth members and their guests, providing three birds per group. Additional birds may be purchased for the hunt. Contact us for more information and to RSVP.

Hunts are held at Clyde Shooting Preserve and kick off at 8:00am. The event organizer will provide a schedule upon your RSVP. Look for an email announcing each hunt containing information to RSVP as the event approaches.
Volunteer & Membership Appreciation Hunts
Each year, BMPF holds at least two pheasant hunts for the membership – a Volunteer Appreciation Hunt and a General Membership Hunt. BMPF provides a few pheasant to each hunt group during each hunt. Hunters may purchase additional birds for the hunt.
December TBD – Volunteer Hunt: This Volunteer Appreciation Hunt is for all who donated their time to the Chapter during at least one event within the calendar year.
January 2027 TBD – Volunteer Hunt: This Volunteer Appreciation Hunt is for all who donated their time to the Chapter during at least one event within the calendar year.
