What is Women on the Wing?
“The great thing about this initiative is the empowerment of and friendships built with the women who get involved! Formally, our local mission is ‘To create opportunities and access for women who share a passion of the uplands, and inspire conservation through community, connection, and education.’ Our hope is that women will come out for a great day in a beautiful setting, enjoy the surroundings, learn about upland bird habitat and conservation, have fun, make new friends, and more!”

WotW Committee Structure
The WotW Committee is set up like other Chapter committees where a Chairperson coordinates the committee events, utilizing committee members to assist in event facilitation.
The WotW Committee Chairperson is Ms. Jamie Wallace. Jamie is an enthusiastic upland hunter who is passionate about bird dogs, tailfeathers, conservation, and sharing the uplands with her fellow ladies. Jamie also serves on the Pheasants Forever, Columbia Basin Chapter Advisory Board.
“Gear Swap” is a program designed to help empower women who want to enter the uplands but may
need a little help with gear. New or slightly used items are donated by other women for those who need
them, free of charge. This program is designed to have items recycled, repurposed, and re-loved by the
next owner. All women are encouraged to participate by either donating or taking an item they may
need. If you would like more information on what is currently in inventory, or have an item to donate,
please contact WotW Steering Committee Member Jamie Wallace by email at
wow@bmpf258.org.
If you want to join the Committee, volunteer, or participate in any WotW event, simply email Jamie at wow@bmpf.org or reach out through the “Contact” page here on our website. We look forward to seeing you out there!
